Canada’s Parks Day was on July 18 this year, but the work our members do to protect and share our parks never stops.
We hope Canadians and tourists made the most of their summer this year, whether hiking a trail, exploring a historic site, or just enjoying time outdoors. If you did, chances are a Parks Canada worker helped make that possible.
Our members are the trail crews keeping paths safe, the maintenance workers repairing boardwalks and buildings, the visitor services staff greeting people at the gate, and the interpreters sharing the stories behind our natural and cultural heritage. It’s demanding, often physical work, done outdoors in every kind of weather, so that every visit goes smoothly.
To our Parks Canada members: thank you. Your dedication, day in and day out, is what makes it possible for people across the country to connect with the places that matter most. We’re proud to represent you.
