Treasury Board continues to stall on negotiations following the latest round of Education and Library Science (EB) bargaining on March 8-10, 2022.

The EB group includes over 1,090 members responsible for education, education support and library services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bargaining is moving at a crawl, thanks to the employer\u2019s stalling tactics. While PSAC has tabled\u00a0all of our demands<\/a>\u00a0along with a comprehensive wage proposal, the employer remains closed to negotiating on nearly all of our priorities. Treasury Board also continues to put forward concessions on scheduling and shifts under the guise of \u201cimproving flexibility.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Market adjustments<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In addition to PSAC\u2019s demands on wage increases to meet rising inflation and skyrocketing costs of living, PSAC also previously tabled wage adjustments based on market comparators. The employer says their research does not support the wage adjustments that\u00a0PSAC tabled in January<\/a>. PSAC\u2019s bargaining team has requested these findings in addition to a counter-wage offer.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
