{"id":5142,"date":"2015-09-30T08:33:54","date_gmt":"2015-09-30T13:33:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.une-sen.org\/press\/?p=5142"},"modified":"2015-10-01T13:45:28","modified_gmt":"2015-10-01T18:45:28","slug":"ccpa-study-tells-canadians-what-the-union-has-been-saying-all-along-about-health-safety","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unesen.ca\/press\/?p=5142","title":{"rendered":"CCPA Study Tells Canadians What the Union Has Been Saying All Along About Health &#038; Safety"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5150\" src=\"http:\/\/www.une-sen.org\/press\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/CCPAStudy1.png\" alt=\"CCPAStudy\" width=\"600\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.unesen.ca\/press\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/CCPAStudy1.png 600w, https:\/\/www.unesen.ca\/press\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/CCPAStudy1-300x188.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A new study from the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives entitled <em>Waiting to Happen: Why we need major changes to the health and safety regime in federally regulated workplaces<\/em> reveals that the health and safety of over a million workers in the federal government and other federally-regulated workplaces is at risk.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis study confirms that our members \u2013 and the Canadians to whom they provide services \u2013 are at risk,\u201d said UNE President Doug Marshall. \u201cThere are several recommendations, including repealing the 2013 changes to the Canadian Labour Code that the government snuck into their omnibus bill C-4.
