Representatives from the Public Service Alliance of Canada and Parks Canada signed the official version of the collective agreement, earlier today.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow that it\u2019s signed, members will feel a lot better,\u201d said Loretta Moar, a member on the bargaining team.\u00a0 \u201cIt\u2019s a great thing for the members. I\u2019m ecstatic about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

In an email sent to all Parks Canada employees, the agency\u2019s CEO, Alan Latourelle, remarked on both parties\u2019 efforts in reaching an agreement.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe collaborative attitude and ongoing working relationship between PSAC and the Agency made it possible to successfully negotiate this renewed collective,\u201d wrote Latourelle.<\/p>\n

For Moar, the signing of the agreement marks the end of months spent tirelessly working on behalf of our membership.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a lot of hard work, long hours, a lot of travel\u2026 and a lot of restaurant food,\u201d said Moar, laughing.<\/p>\n

But all that time spent away from home was worth it, she said. Given the current political climate, the bargaining team did exceptionally well. Moar says she\u2019s proud of the deal the bargaining team secured for our members.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a goal of mine. To be a partner to that, it was a really great feeling.\u201d<\/p>\n
